The Terrell Short Term Family Housing

Located in Ward 1, the Terrell Short Term Housing site provides supportive and dignified short term housing for DC families and senior women in apartment units. In addition to the apartments, there are administrative offices, conference rooms, and community rooms for social workers and the resident families as well as an outdoor courtyard and roof deck. DES worked extensively with the architects, the contractor, and DGS to design custom furniture solutions for the apartment units as well as furnish all other interior and exterior spaces. The furniture finishes coordinate with each level or “neighborhood” of the building’s interior finish scheme and enhance the comfort and safety of the spaces for the residents.
