This project utilized several existing buildings from the 1910s-1980s in DC’s Cleveland Park Historic District and is an exciting mix of historic and modern elements to create a dynamic modern learning environment. The school’s motto “Many Cultures, One Community” influenced many of the interior design components including associated dominant colors, geographic maps, and internationally themed art installations. DES provided design assistance and coordination of furniture and casework to complement the flexible learning spaces and vibrant architectural colors and design elements.
