Job Information:

DES is a well-established specialty contractor located in Middleburg, VA servicing the mid-Atlantic region. Seeking independent, responsible individual with finish carpentry experience to perform installation of wood and plastic-laminated casework and other equipment in commercial and institutional facilities. Experience with commercial casework and millwork a plus. Must be capable of coordinating project installations from start to finish, performing work per applicable safety standards, and must take pride in your work. Excellent problem-solving skills are required. Successful candidate will be self-motived, team-oriented, and exhibit a positive attitude, customer focus, and willingness to go the extra mile.

Tools and safety equipment are provided. Company vehicle will be provided to those demonstrating a strong work ethic, and ability to lead projects and work independently. Casework installers are typically paired with an assistant and travel together as a 2-person crew in a company vehicle. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive company vehicle.

DES installers travel to job sites located throughout the mid-Atlantic region. We perform work primarily in VA, MD, DC, DE, and WV. Some projects will require (company paid) lodging near work site.

Typical responsibilities and activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete work as assigned by Installation Manager
  • Work under general direction of Project Manager
  • Working with architectural and shop drawings
  • Coordinating work with other trades
  • Unloading and distributing product on job site
  • Setting and installing casework and equipment
  • Coordinating and managing sequence of work
  • Directing work of assistant installer
  • Managing completion of punch work
  • Maintaining a clean work site
  • Properly caring for vehicle and tools
  • Following proper safety standards
  • Maintaining consistently high-level of quality work
